Fat Frank got a little ear infection, shook his head too much, and ended up with a pocket of blood in his ear, a hematoma.

This is the second time he’s had it this year, and this time they put him under to suck out all the blood, as he wasn’t a fan the first time.

He’s still a bit woozy so we’re watching Wheeler Dealers together, on the forbidden couch.

He ain’t wheeling’ and dealin’ no more. He had a pilot episode for a show, but doesn’t seem to be in the media right now.

I have the YouTube TV dvr, so I’m catching up on older episodes as they get recorded. Morris Minor Woody Traveler!

I like that show, even if, as I’ve heard, some of the sales are rigged . Mike Brewer can be a bit intolerable at times, and Ant is fine, but I miss Edd. I liked the non-hyper speed he operated at. Ant, for all he knows and all the skill he has, can be a bit intense at times. Edd strikes me as a chap I’d like to have a beer with.

I honestly have no idea after his cameo on Project Binky.

The work ethic required for in his chosen occupation makes me think if anything he got much fitter and healthier while avoiding any chance of becoming sick.

He has to wear his hat for 5 days. He’s good enough, he won’t   even try to remove it.

I imagine most of the stuff is predetermined - original car prices are prenegotiated, and their fixed car sales are arranged off-camera.

I like both of them and I’d have a drink with either of them. I’d have a drink with Mike as well.

I hope he’s all mended soon.

I can’t watch Wheeler Dealers, Mike Brewer is such a gobshite.

I never saw why he was there. He looked and bought the car, but Ed could of done that, he sold the cars (some were film crew stand ins or family members standing in for buyers), but Ed could of done that.

The way he shit on Ed for leaving and kept bad mouthing him in public and in interviews while Ed simply said they had a different path and not to keep hounding Mike. I hear Mike’s voice and I just have to change the channel.

CarS.O.S. is a better watch.

(this one below is from CarSOS uncut on YouTube).

Why would you buy a car from Mike Brewer anyway!?

Oh wait, some do, he’s got a couple of car dealerships (Sheffield and Dunstable).

Thanks!

I really don’t mind Mike that much. In order to wheel and deal, you have to be able to buy them and fix them and sell them, and he’s definitely the buy/sell personality. I think Ant could do the buy/sell and fix alone , but Edd never looked like a guy who’d go out and haggle and make deals.

Mike does have the standard used car salesperson personality.

One of my cats had one. It didn’t really heal right so he had a crumpled up pirate ear for the rest of his life. Looked like a tough guy, actually a total muffin.

on the forbidden couch.

My parents dog was only allowed on couches in the basement and she knew it. Only time she’d ever ask or just get on the couch was in the basement.

They were allowed on the dark brown couch in our old house. They aren’t allowed on the light gray, brand new, very expensive couch in the new house and it took a while to teach them not to jump on.

But dogs and couches man... they love some couch action. They have 4 dogs beds throughout the house but that’s not enough.

Lol. Sorry.

‘Dog’n’bone’ is one of those rhyming slang terms for phone, like ‘apple’n’pears’ for stairs, ‘trouble’n’strife’ for wife’, ‘would you Adam and Eve it’ believe it’, etc...

‘A bit woo a bit waaaah’ was a bit from a comedy sketch from The Fast Show’.

The character was a ‘Cockney geezer’ who couldn’t be trusted.

Arthur Daley was the character on a TV series called Minder. He was a dodgy car salesman who would do odd jobs on the side, ‘cash in hand’ (not on the books so as to avoid paying tax).

Have a bonus TeleCockneys clip.

You know, I watched a bunch of British shows religiously- “Only fools and horses”, “Allo allo”, “Still game” - but there is so much that makes no sense to me because I’ve never seen it and you grew up with it.

I felt the same when I moved to states at 19 - Americans loooove to throw references to.... stuff in their daily talk. It took forever to learn most of it. Being fluent in a language doesn’t mean you have to understand the lingo.

There is a Canadian called Alana on YouTube, Adventure and Naps.

She moved to the U.K. five years ago and while applying for jobs would watch U.K. TV from daytime talk shows to evening TV shows, comedy, etc... it was only by watching the whole mixture of British TV that she could understand peoples refences, British humour, etc... she said you have to immerse yourself into everything to understand the British, we are a quirky lot, even we don’t fully understand some stuff from our neighbours.  Such as some  stuff in Northumberland, such as sayings, wouldn’t work or be understood over here in Cumbria, the next county over from it.
